Bishop John will be celebrting the Sacrament of Confirmation at 7pm on Tuesday, 30th June, at St Mary’s Oswaldtwistle.
All meetings for candidates are at St Anne’s Church at 6pm, and will be on the following Mondays: 11th May, 18th May, 1st June, 15th June, 22nd June.
The next meeting is: 6pm Monday 11th May.
The traditional weekly offertory collection is one way in which you can support the parish financially. An easier modern alternative is to use a standing order, which allows you to make regular donations directly from your bank account, and has the advantage that you will not have to worry about having the right amount of cash every week. If you have online banking you can set this up online, or you can download and complete this standing order form and post it to your bank or hand it in at the parish.
You can also make donations using the Dona card machine located near the collection baskets in St Anne’s church. This digital collection plate supports both contactless and Chip & PIN payments and you can opt to Gift Aid your donation. You can also make a contribution online by using our Dona webpage. Due to the Requiem Mass at St Jospeh’s there will not be a 9am Mass at St Anne’s on Monday, 11th May.
Thursday, 14th May is the Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord. There will be a Vigil Mass at 7pm at St Joseph’s on Wednesday and Masses at St Anne’s at 9am and St Joseph’s at 9:30am on Thursday.
Otherwise, Masses are at the usual times. Please see the schedule for this week.
Thursday 14th May is the solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord. It is a holy day of obligation.

There will be a meeting of the Knights on Tuesday, 19th May at 7:30pm in the Marian Room at St Anne’s.
All men of the parish are warmly invited to attend.
On Saturday, 30th May at 7:30pm in St Joseph’s Hall we will be hosting a Quiz Night in aid of the Lourdes Nursing and Medical Team.
Tickets are £10 each and include a Pie and Pea Supper. Please bring your own drinks. See Fr Francis for a ticket.

To celebrate the Solemnity of Corpus Christi the deanery are holding an outdoor procession of the Blessed Sacrament.
The procession will take place on Sunday 7th June at 3pm at St Mary Magdalene’s Church, Gawthorpe Road, Burnley, Lancashire BB12 0JP.
This is a wonderful way to witness to our faith and to Our Lord truly present in the Blessed Sacrament.
I encourage all who read this to take part in the procession and make this a real day of celebration.
To celebrate Father Livesey’s Diamond Jubilee there will be Mass on Monday, 8th June, at 7pm in St Joseph’s Church followed by refreshments in the hall.
There are sign-up sheets at the back of both churches for those wishing to attend.
