Many thanks to all who came to give thanks to the Lord for 100 years of St Anne’s Church.
Thank you to all who worked so hard in preparing for the day: cleaning the church and beautifying it with floral decorations, our choir and organist for leading us in song and to those who prepared the liturgy. Grateful thanks are also due to Mount Carmel Roman Catholic High School for funding the cost of hiring the marquee.
Many thanks to those who organised the sumptuous buffet for after Mass, those who served drinks and helped with clearing everything away at the end.
Our special thanks to Bishop John for being with us and leading us in our celebration of Mass. As the Bishop reminded us ‘we gather here this evening to give thanks for all that has been, but it is also about looking forward to the future as we continue the mission begun by our forefathers.’
God bless you all. Here’s to the next hundred years. Stay with us Lord on our journey.
It’s a pity that we forgot to arrange a photographer for the celebration so we have to make do with this AI generated image.
