You are warmly invited to join us on 16 September 2023, from 10.30 am for a unique celebration.
Caritas Diocese of Salford is proud to build on the work of the Catholic Fellowship to celebrate and value all people in a day recognising human dignity.
We hope that you will join us for all four parts of the celebration, but you are welcome to attend when you are able. By taking part in the day, you will be showing solidarity and commitment to a world where human dignity is valued and celebrated.
The day will be focused on:
- Hearing from people who have experienced barriers to inclusion or improving accessibility (because of physical, mental & emotional, sensory and/or learning needs).
- Giving practical examples of how parishes and communities can support people facing barriers and needing support with access from people with lived experience of the impact in their lives.
The full timetable will be released nearer to the time, but please save the date for now!
Starting from 10:30 am the day will include:
- Information about how parishes and communities can become more accessible
- Input from people about their experiences of accessibility
- Shared lunch and networking
- Mass for the intention of “The Preservation of Human Dignity”: Main celebrant Bishop John Arnold.

Venue: Sacred Heart RC Church and Parish Centre, Gorton, M18 7JW.
Accessibility: Please let us know if there are accessibility needs, we should plan for. The venue is accessible by ramp. resources will be available in large print. In anticipation, we have booked BSL/English interpreters.
