There will be no tea or coffee after the 11am Mass at St Anne’s on both Sunday, 28^th September & 5^th October.

Newly ordained Fr Theo Sharrock will celebrate his first Mass on Monday, 29^th September, at St John’s RC Church, Bracewell Street, Burnley at 7pm. All parishioners welcome.

After Mass you will be able to receive Fr Theo’s first blessing. After kneeling for the blessing Father will offer you his newly anointed hands to kiss. This is a sign of the special role of the hands in the life of the priest.

The occasion of a priest’s first Mass is also an opportunity to gain a plenary indulgence for the remission of punishment due to forgiven sin under the usual conditions.

The Friendship Club will be meeting in St Joseph’s Hall at 2pm on Wednesday, 1^st October.

We will be entertained by the Go On Tour singers and dancers. They come highly recommended so it should be a good afternoon.

The next Mass for healing with anointing of the sick will be at 12 noon on Saturday, 4^th October at St Anne’s. Exposition and confessions from 11am.

Let us hold in prayer all who are sick.

Fr Robert Pytel, the chaplain to our Polish community, will be celebrating Mass on Sunday, 5^th October at 1pm in St Anne’s Church.

Confessions will be heard before Mass.
