Funeral Service
We offer our condolences to the family of Marian Stephenson who has died. Marian’s funeral service will take place at St Anne’s Church on Monday, 9th June at 10:30am. Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord.
Masses at St Joseph’s
Due Father Livesey being on retreat there will be no weekday Masses at St Joseph’s from Monday, 6th October to Friday, 10th October. Weekday Masses will resume the following week, from Monday, 13th October.
Calling All Bakers
There is still time for the bakers of the parish to bake or donate cakes/biscuits for the cake stall at the Christmas Fayre. If you able to bake or donate, please bring them along this Sunday.
Centenary Mass Meeting
In order to finalise plans for the upcoming Centenary Mass on Friday, 27th June, there will be a meeting on Tuesday, 17th June at 6pm in St Anne’s Church. All parishioners are welcome to attend.
Stations of the Cross
During Lent, Stations of the Cross will be prayed every Wednesday after the 9:30am Mass at St Joseph’s. All are welcome to take part.
Collection for Retired Priests
There will be a retiring collection for retired priests in both churches on the 8th/9th March. Please do give generously to help ensure that all our retired priests have the care and support they need.
Telephones Were Down
Apologies to anyone who may have tried to ring the office at St Anne’s in the last few days. Due to a problem with the upgrade of the broadband service, we had no phone service. We are now back on the Internet and the phone line has been restored.
Monday’s Mass at St Anne’s
On Monday, 3rd February Mass at St Anne’s will be at the later time of 9:30am so that children and staff from St Anne’s and St Joseph’s Primary School can attend. All are welcome.
Blessing of Throats
The traditional blessing of throats in honour of St Blaise will take place at the 9:30am Mass on Monday, 3rd February at St Anne’s.
