Congratulations to Miss Caroline Farrelly, one of our parishioners, who has been appointed the next head teacher at Mount Carmel High School to succeed Mr Xavier Bowers who is retiring in the summer. Please remember Caroline in your prayers, as she takes on this new role, and Xavier, as he prepares for retirement.
Friendship Club
The members of the Friendship Club would like to say a big thank you to all those on the committee who organised this year‘s Christmas party. The decorations, the lovely food, the entertainment and raffle prizes, made this year’s party a fantastic event enjoyed by all.
Parish Statistics 2025

In 2025 we had 9 baptisms and 7 received first Holy Communion. There were 18 confirmations, 21 funerals and no marriages. The average Mass attendance over three Sunday Masses and two churches was 210.

Charged with Gratitude

Thursday’s Mass at St Anne’s

Mass at St Anne’s this Thursday, 5th March, will be at 9am instead of 6:30pm so that Fr Francis can attend the Nursing and Medical Team Meeting.
Mass in Sign Language

Fr Francis will be celebrating Mass in sign language on Sunday, 25th January at 3pm at St John the Baptist, Bracewell Street, Burnley, BB10 1TB. All parishioners are very welcome to attend.
Healing Mass

The next Mass for healing with anointing of the sick will be at 12 noon on Saturday, 7th March at St Anne’s. Exposition and confessions from 11am. Let us hold in prayer all who are sick. All welcome.
Baptism

We welcome to the parish Martin Tamahill who is to be baptised in St Anne’s church on Saturday, 28th February. Please keep Martin and his family in your prayers.
