Don’t forget to come to Mass at the weekend wearing something rose to celebrate Gaudete Sunday.
Mass Changes this Week
Due to the Confirmation Service at St Joseph’s this coming Thursday, 3rd July, there will be no 6:30pm Mass at St Anne’s. Mass at St Joseph’s on Saturday, 5th July will be at the earlier time of 9am. Confessions will be from 9:30am to 10:30am.
Christmas Meal
The Friendship Club Christmas meal will be on Wednesday, 4th December, at Accrington Stanley. By popular request the Ukulele Orchestra will provide the entertainment. There will also be a free raffle with fabulous prizes. It should be a great afternoon at a smashing venue!
Blessed Sacrament Procession
At 2pm on Sunday, 22nd June there will be a procession of the Blessed Sacrament at St Walburge’s Church, Pedder St, Ashton-on-Ribble, Preston PR2 2QE. Fr Francis is hoping to be present if you would like transport.
Sacramental Programme
The next meeting for the Sacramental Programme will be at 6pm on Monday, 23rd June at St Anne’s Church.
Holy Day of Obligation
This Friday 15th August is the Solemnity of the Assumption of Our Lady. It is a Holy Day of Obligation when we are bound to hear Mass unless prevented from doing so by a serious reason. Choir Practice
Choir practice for the Centenary Mass will take place on Thursday, 26th June, immediately after the 6:30pm Mass at St Anne’s. Singers from both churches welcome!
Christmas Fayre
The Christmas Fayre takes place this Sunday, 8th December. There will only be one Mass on the day, at 10am in St Joseph’s church. The Fayre will begin after Mass in the church hall.
