Christmas Meal
The Friendship Club Christmas meal will be on Wednesday, 4th December, at Accrington Stanley. By popular request the Ukulele Orchestra will provide the entertainment. There will also be a free raffle with fabulous prizes. It should be a great afternoon at a smashing venue!
Volunteers Needed
The hall at St Joseph’s will be open this coming Thursday and Friday, 5th & 6th December, from 1:00pm in order to set up for the Christmas Fayre. We would appreciate as many volunteers as possible to get the hall ready. Thank you!
Friday’s Mass at St Anne’s
Mass at St Anne’s this Friday, 6th December, will be at the later time of 9:30am as we will be joined by the staff and students from our primary school, St Anne’s & St Joseph’s. All parishioners are also welcome to attend.
Christmas Flower Collection
There will be two retiring collections in both churches to help defray the cost of the flowers for Christmas. The first collection will be held on 7th/8th December, and the second collection the weekend after, 14th/15th December. Please do give generously so we can make the churches look wonderful for our celebrations.
Christmas Fayre
This year’s Christmas Fayre will be on Sunday, 8th December. There will only be one Mass that Sunday, at 10am in St Joseph’s church. The Fayre will begin after Mass in the church hall. St Anne’s Ladies
Our next meeting will be on Tuesday, 10th December. We will be going for Christmas lunch at The Owd Stables. As usual, meet at 12:30pm in the car park at St Anne’s for lunch at 1pm.
Carol Service
6:30pm, Sunday 15th December in St Joseph’s Church. A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols with the Diocesan String Quartet. Festive refreshments in the parish hall after the service. All welcome.
