Fr Ray’s Funeral
The funeral arrangements of The Rev Father Raymond E Matus C.O. Manchester Oratory, St Chad’s, Cheetham Hill Rd, M4 4EX. 6: 30pm, Tuesday 22nd October: Reception of the body and Latin Vespers of the Dead. 12 noon, Wednesday 23rd October: Solemn Requiem Mass followed by burial in the church graveyard.
First Holy Communion
The children on the Sacramental Programme will be making their First Holy Communion on Sunday, 29th June, at the 11am Mass. Do please keep them in your prayers. It will also be lovely for you to support them with your presence on the day.
Carol Concert
This will take place at Mount Carmel High School on Wednesday, 11th December at 6pm. Featuring the choir from our own primary school! All welcome.
Deaf Awareness
There will be an online session raising awareness of the issues that affect those who are deaf and hard of hearing on Tuesday 10th September from 2 to 4pm. Click/tap for more information and to book.
Education Sunday 2025
Education Sunday 2025 is an opportunity to recognise and celebrate all that is good about Catholic Education in Hyndburn. This Sunday, 14th September, a member of staff from Mount Carmel will say a few words, and give out promotional information after the 9am Mass at St Joseph’s and 11am Mass at St Anne’s.
St Joseph’s Tuesday Mass
There will not be a Mass at St Joseph’s on Tuesday, 3rd June.
Confirmation 2025
Bishop John will be coming to St Joseph’s on Thursday, 3rd July, at 7pm to celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation. Please keep our young people in your prayers as they prepare to receive this important Sacrament.
Changes to Services on Saturday
There will be no midday Mass, morning confessions or Exposition at St Anne’s on Saturday, 3rd May. The Vigil Mass at St Anne’s remains the same.
