Weeding Volunteers

The pathways at St Anne’s are once again being taken over by the weeds. Do we have a few volunteers who might spend a little time weeding the paths for us? If we have a few volunteers it will help keep our costs down.

Station Mass

The Bishop will be celebrating the Station Mass on Thursday 27th March at 7.00pm in St Mary’s, Burnley. Refreshments will be provided after Mass. All parishioners are welcome to attend.

Fr Francis on Leave

Fr Francis will be on annual leave from Wednesday, 30th July to Thursday, 14th August. Therefore, there will be no weekday Masses at St Anne’s during that time. Lost Key

A key on a brown leather keyring has been found at the back of St Anne’s Church. If this belongs to you, please speak to either Father or Siobhan in the office.

Friendship Club

The Friendship Club will be meeting in St Joseph’s Hall at 2pm on Wednesday, 1st October. We will be entertained by the Go On Tour singers and dancers. They come highly recommended so it should be a good afternoon.

In the Pink

This Sunday, 30th March, we celebrate Laetare Sunday—the 4th Sunday of Lent. The liturgical colour for the day is rose. Perhaps you would like to come to Mass wearing something rose/pink to help mark this midpoint in the season of Lent.

Prima Missa

Please pray for Rev Canon Joseph McCowen of the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest who will celebrate a First Solemn High Mass on Saturday, 6th September at St Walburge’s Church, Preston.
